This week’s motivational quote was carried by a great leader but he did not write it. The gentleman’s name is Paul “Bear” Bryant. He was best known for his time spent coaching at the University of Alabama. During his time there he amassed 6 national championships and 13 conference championships. When he retired in 1982 he had the record for most wins as a head coach in collegiate football history. He was a leader and he carried the following quote in his wallet and read it every day.

This is the beginning of a new day.
God has given me this day to use as I will.
I can waste it or use it for good.
What I do today is very important because I am Exchanging a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever.
Leaving something in its place I have traded for it.
I want it to be a gain, not loss – good, not evil.
Success, not failure in order that I shall not forget the price I paid for it.

Everyday that you are granted life on this planet is another chance for you to make a difference, in your life or someone else’s. Value each day you have. Do not take your days for granted. You exchange life for time every minute of every day. Spend your currency of time wisely.

Great concept…may we learn to value our days here on earth and make a difference

  2. Motivation is the fuel of achievement and its essence determines the level one can easily reach to. If you want to achieve your dreams then the ability to motivate yourself is a crucial skill. Whether you are on the workshop floor or in the "ivory tower" your motivation will lead you towards your goal.

    • Nice correlation of motivation being the fuel. That is so true and that is why some people get motivated and then stop during their trip – they forgot to refuel.
