I have recently been notified about a site called People String. It appears to be a place where you get paid while they track your various habits. Most social networks and public email do much of the same thing, however, they normally keep all of the revenue from it.

When you have a Facebook account, they know your age and sex. Often times they know your religion, marital status, income range and so much more. They know where you go, what you click on, what types of entertainment you enjoy, and what types of things you purchase. All of this information is worth money to companies that conduct surveys and collect this type of demographic data for marketing. Same thing goes for public email (Yahoo, Live, Gmail, etc). They know how many emails you receive, where they come from and what links you click on that exit you to another page form your email account.

Peoplestring.com appears to share the revenue with you and pays you to invite others to join. The actually ask you to receive junk mail and surveys. However, you can get paid for them. Everything is optional and I read the privacy statement. It appears as though it is standard and they won’t sell your private information. You can read more about it here.
